This is the poignant story of a small town devastated by the floodwaters of Hurricane Floyd. It is based on the true history of that event but seen through the eyes of one family with two small children. After being washed out of their homes, the townspeople of Princeville struggle to come to terms with the mess left behind by the storm. They have to decide whether to clean up and start over or to just move away and give the town up altogether. They choose to begin again in the town they’ve called home for generations. Readers will be touched by the resilience of the people and their ability to face adversity and natural disaster with grace and hope.
